Treatment plans
More than one way to treat hearing loss
Treating hearing loss is not “one-stop shopping.” Your plan is built around your evaluation results, your everyday listening needs and your follow-up care.

Built on your results
Your plan is based on the results of your hearing tests and evaluation.
Shaped by your life
Your lifestyle and toughest listening situations help tailor the recommendation.
Care that continues
Follow-up care is part of how we work; we believe in creating connections with patients.
Why plans differ
Different types, different treatments

There is more than one type of hearing loss, so naturally there is more than one way to treat it.
Your evaluation helps us discuss suitable treatment options and any next steps.
Conductive
The outer or middle ear can’t conduct sound to the inner ear.
Sensorineural
The inner ear or auditory nerve no longer detects sound waves normally.
Mixed
A combination of conductive and sensorineural hearing loss.
How a plan comes together
From your results to a plan you choose
01
Evaluate
A complete hearing test and evaluation shows the extent of your hearing loss and helps our team understand your needs.
02
Listen
We ask about your lifestyle and the listening situations that trouble you most, and include your companion if one comes with you.
03
Decide together
Your Doctor of Audiology reviews your results and needs assessment with you, and together you choose a treatment option.
04
Follow through
Care continues with professional hearing aid deep cleanings every four months and a hearing reevaluation once a year. If your hearing levels change, we adjust your hearing aids to match your updated prescription.

What a plan can include
Options matched to your hearing
Depending on your results, your plan may include one or more of these.

Beltone hearing aids
We’re an exclusive Beltone provider, fitting rechargeable styles and styles that take traditional batteries.
Bone conduction implants
Bone conduction implants can help people with single-sided deafness, conductive hearing loss and mixed hearing loss.
Cochlear implants
For people who receive little benefit from traditional hearing aids, our team provides cochlear implant evaluations, counseling, activation and programming in Florence. Surgery is performed by an implant surgeon.

Cost and coverage
Budget is part of the conversation
The price of hearing aids varies with the style and technology you choose. We’ll help you choose a hearing aid for your lifestyle, hearing loss and budget, and our insurance page lists what to check with your plan.
